🔹🔹 SCRIPT A: Ekong Eshiet + Randy Lassiter
“Hi, I’m calling about multiple prisoners.
First, Ekong Eshiet (#1842654) set himself on fire on September 15, 2024, to protest racist and religious harassment. After a hunger strike demanding transfer within Virginia, he was shipped to Indiana without his property. Guards mocked his trauma, denied burn care, and served him food with gum/spit on October 28, 2024. In an October 23 interview, he said: ‘I’ll set my whole body on fire before I stay here. I would rather die than endure this torture.’
I demand:
- Immediate transfer to a trauma-informed mental health facility in Indiana
- Full health access, outdoor recreation, and phone calls
- Investigation into food contamination
- Return of all confiscated property
- Written update on his transfer status
Second, Randy Lassiter (#1490582) at Wallens Ridge. Guards called him the n-word and assaulted him on March 18—his birthday. After winning a $25,000 lawsuit against DOC, he’s being charged $25/day on false infractions. His pre-diabetic shoes and legal dictionary were taken, and he was given a cracked video call screen.
I demand:
- Immediate transfer to a mental health pod in a safe facility in or near Virginia
- Return of all confiscated items
- Full restoration of functional phone and video access
- Cessation of fabricated charges and refund of all unjust fees
- Investigation into financial retaliation for his lawsuit
🔹 SCRIPT B: Roy Moffett + Bartholomew Sebrell
“Hello, I’m calling about two prisoners.
First, Roy Moffett (#2129702) had his face broken by COs. Denied power until he signed a no self-harm agreement, he’s now in a cell without a bed. He has untreated MRSA sores in his mouth, causing starvation, spreading infection, and extreme self-harm (deep arm cuts) and suicidal ideation.
I demand:
- Immediate transfer to reentry
- Medical treatment for MRSA, nerve damage, and mental health
- Fire/charge Sgt. Hall, COs Fields, and Rosenbaum
Second, Bartholomew Sebrell (#1489943) was assaulted by Sgt. Hall, COs Cochrane, and Miller—who held a knife to his throat and labeled him a child molester.
I demand:
- Criminal charges and termination of all three officers.”
🔹 SCRIPT C: Raven Blackheart + Michael Goumenis
“Hi, I’m calling about two urgent cases.
First, Raven Blackheart (#1918138), a transgender woman, is forced to walk to showers in underwear, harassed, and denied reentry despite having <1 year left. She attempted suicide on March 12.
I demand:
- Immediate transfer to reentry
- End forced shower humiliation
Second, Michael Goumenis (#1178004) has had an untreated ear infection for over 18 months. On March 11, he suffered what appears to be a poisonous spider bite. His chin swelled, bled, and formed a one-inch-deep wound. PA Holbrook punctured the wound with no anesthesia and failed to provide antibiotics.
I demand:
- An independent medical evaluation
- Immediate disciplinary action against PA Holbrook.”
🔹 SCRIPT D: Austin Arocho + Isaac Montoya + January 21 Stabbing
“Hello, I’m calling about multiple prisoners.
First, Austin Arocho (#1953748) at Red Onion. In June 2023, he set himself on fire after being starved by guards. In January 2024, he was slapped with a retaliatory felony charge (‘destruction of property with an explosive device’) to punish his protest. Austin has a mental health diagnosis, is suicidal, and has been denied phone access—his mother has heard from him once in weeks.
I demand:
- Immediate restoration of phone access
- Written documentation of his legal status
- Transfer to a mental health pod
- Drop all retaliatory charges!
Second, Isaac Montoya (#2155033) at Red Onion has suffered untreated scabies for 18 months. PA Holbrook refuses to treat him despite a dermatologist’s diagnosis. He was told to ‘catch a specimen in a jar’ and retaliatorily placed in a feces-covered cell.
I demand:
- Prescription of Ivermectin and antibiotics
- Daily bedding/towel changes
- Disciplinary action against PA Holbrook and sanitation staff
- Investigation into retaliation
Third, on January 21, multiple witnesses saw guards stab a prisoner in C-POD at Red Onion.
I demand:
- A full investigation
- Criminal prosecution of all correctional officers involved
