In his May 18, 2026 audio statement, Pitt reports that more than a month after transfer, he still had not received his property, including legal materials. 🕰️ Case History: Why Officials Must Preserve and Return Pitt’s Records

Current stage — NBCI property/legal-materials crisis

Pitt is currently housed at North Branch Correctional Institution (NBCI) in Cumberland, Maryland, after transfer from Wallens Ridge State Prison around March 25–26, 2026. In his May 18 audio statement, he reports that more than a month later he still had not received his property, including legal materials.

Pitt believes this may be retaliatory and legally suppressive because the missing property may include evidence and legal papers connected to prior assaults, medical neglect, records disputes, restraints, hunger strikes, and complaints/litigation involving Virginia officials.

Wallens Ridge State Prison — intake assault, restraints, surgery issue

As of October 27, 2025, Pitt reported that officers assaulted him inside the receiving/scanner room at WRSP while he was handcuffed and shackled. An officer bent his right pinky backward until it broke, and he was kicked in the midsection and face.

After intake, he was pepper-sprayed at his cell door; a CERT/“gold squad” extraction followed in which Lt. Cole reportedly used a taser multiple times. He was then kept in ambulatory restraints for 22 hours and 37 minutes in a cold cell wearing only boxers, without timely access to clothing or bedding.

The medical chart reportedly included an entry stating that an “Oct 7 X-ray was within acceptable limits.” According to Pitt, the relevant X-ray actually occurred later and showed a fracture requiring outside-hospital surgery (re-break/reduction and fixation). He reported that Sgt. Hale, Sgt. Ian McCoy, Lt. Cole, and Officer Robinson attempted to pressure him to claim the injury was caused by “basketball,” which he denies.

Evidence to preserve: receiving/scanner-room video; handheld/body-worn camera footage; pepper-spray and taser logs; the full use-of-force packet; ambulatory-restraints log documenting 22 hours and 37 minutes; complete medical chart and radiology.

Prior stages — Jessup CI → Western CI → return to Virginia

June 21, 2025 (Jessup CI, Maryland): Pitt reported he was slammed to the concrete in Building B, Tier B-223 by Lt. Christopher Ogbula and Correctional Officers Ademola Adeniyi, Adeniran Esan, Wendell Morris, and Eric Boateng/Sarpong. He experienced severe bruising, numbness, and immobility of the right arm, consistent with a possible clavicular or spiral fracture.

June 24, 2025: A clinic X-ray was captured, but the radiology report was withheld and no treatment or pain management was provided. Between June 20 and June 27, his psychiatric medication was not given; he spent about 20 hours on suicide watch without a one-to-one observer. Despite a documented metal-cuff allergy, staff continued to use steel restraints; he received ointment once on June 26.

June 25–27, 2025: Pitt signed a medical Release of Information on June 25 and handed it to Nurse Adebayo. On June 27, Centurion supervisor Leslie Walker stated the form was “missing information.” Pitt could not correct it because his legal papers and basic hygiene items had been confiscated. Around the end of June, staff filed retaliatory disciplinary charges and interfered with outgoing legal mail.

July 11, 2025: Pitt accepted a plea on the disciplinary charges and awaited return to general population, but he still had no orthopedic evaluation, no imaging results, and no consistent pain management.

August 22, 2025 (self-reported) / August 25, 2025 (official booking): Pitt arrived at Western CI (WCI), Maryland. About 24 hours later, on or around August 23, a geared, recorded cell extraction occurred. He reported targeting to the head and eye area, ongoing headaches, and that the left arm was now also injured (“now it’s both”). He was placed in segregation on “staff alert” without a hearing. He began a hunger strike at WCI and lost at least 20 pounds.

In mid-September he paused the hunger strike at nine days (27 missed trays) when medication was reinstated. Two independent sources inside WCI warned that there was allegedly a hit out on him; he reported that he was not safe.

October 2025: Returned to Virginia custody around Oct 2; taken to WRSP around Oct 4. Hunger strike across transfers totaled approximately 13 days (~35 trays) and ended Oct 15 after a warden discussion about River North. The Oct 23 X-ray reportedly confirmed a surgical fracture; the receiving-area assault and follow-on force occurred as described above.

Why this box exists: the current NBCI property issue cannot be separated from the larger record. The missing property may contain the very documents needed to prove this history.
