Protect Randy Lassiter #1490582 — Red Onion State Prison

Red Onion State Prison (ROSP) • Ongoing isolation & retaliation • Verified incident timeline through July 2025

🚦 Quick Start — How this campaign page works

UPROAR — Uniting Prisoners’ Relatives Organizing Against Repression was sparked by Kevin “Rashid” Johnson’s 2024 call to organize a prisoner support network composed of prisoners’ loved ones . His message was simple: alone we are ignored, but united we can force officials to act.

This campaign page is one of our tools. We document abuse, notify officials, and create receipts when they fail to act. Each complaint, email, and call adds to the public record and increases the pressure to protect people inside.

We are always looking for more loved ones—and devoted, accountable people inside and outside—who can coordinate, do outreach, support families, and help develop strategies of protest, exposure, and resistance. Join us at bit.ly/join-uproar.

Updated September 2025 — Isolation & Retaliation
On Thursday, July 3, 2025, Red Onion staff slammed Randy Lassiter’s head to the floor and moved him to a powerless, filthy cell. He then engaged in a brief hunger protest in July (duration unknown). Months later, isolation and retaliation continue; property and funds are withheld and medical/communication needs remain unmet. His mother, Nicole, has experienced serious health impacts from the stress of advocating for him. Notably, the same officer (CO Boggs) later assaulted William Tanner on Sept 16, showing a dangerous pattern at ROSP. Outside pressure is urgently needed.

  • Thu, Jul 3, 2025 – ROSP (C-307): After asking for Sgt. Harving regarding denied shower, recreation, and kiosk access, CO William Boggs and CO C. Young slammed Randy’s head to the floor. He was then moved to a powerless, filthy cell and denied showers, recreation, and religious TV. Harving about denied shower/rec/kiosk. • He was then placed in a powerless, filthy cell and denied showers, recreation, and religious TV for extended periods. • He reported headaches and dizziness and did not receive outside-hospital imaging or a documented neuro exam.
